New kalua pig sale for Joe Blackburn
The Friends of Joe Blackburn will host a kalua pig sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 27 and 28 in Wailuku.
Kalua pig will be sold in one-pound containers for $8 each. Pickup will at 104 N. Market St.
This is the second kalua pig sale the group is hosting, and organizers said that “the first one sold out on the first day.”
Blackburn is a candidate for the Maui County Council’s Wailuku-Waihee-Waikapu residency seat in the 2016 election. He has served Maui County in public safety for more than 30 years as a fire rescue captain, police officer and safety director, according to his campaign website.
