• Haleakala protest. American Medical Response records show an ambulance was on scene 10 minutes after being dispatched when a protester appeared to become unconscious during a protest of a convoy of materials headed to the Haleakala summit. A paramedic crew was dispatched from the Kula ambulance station on Naalae Road at 4:16 a.m. Aug. 2, was en route at 4:18 a.m. and arrived on scene at 4:26 a.m., according to an AMR report. An article on preliminary police review of body camera footage from the protest referred to a report that said it took longer for an ambulance to reach the scene. The article was published Thursday starting on Page A1 and continuing on Page A4.
