The Maui News - Award-winning county music songwriter and singer Lee Brice will be making his third Maui concert appearance Nov. 28 at the A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center announced Monday.
Tickets go on sale to MACC members Saturday and to the general public June 16.
The title track of Brice's debut album, "Love Like Crazy," in 2009 set a record as the longest-charting song in Billboard's Country Singles history at 56 weeks, breaking Eddy Arnold's mark.
In 2012, his "Hard 2 Love" album went Gold and featured three No.1 country singles, including "I Drive Your Truck," which won Song of the Year at both the Country Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music.
His 2014 album "I Don't Dance" also was a big hit, winning Single Record of the Year from the Academy of Country Music.
"Onstage, you see this big burly guy stomping around, singing his guts out," Brice says on his website. "You don't get that from the radio, and it doesn't add up -- except it does. The funny thing is the dudes are as into 'I Don't Dance' as the girls are. I think they see me up there, and they feel those things, too, but now there's a guy trying to be a guy who's being honest about this stuff."
His newest self-titled album, "Lee Brice," takes listeners to church, school, home and out on a Saturday night, the news release said. "The album, released this past November, serves as a homecoming and a homing device on the essence of what's defined the man who has written hits for Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and the Eli Young Band," the news release said.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m.; gates open at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $39, $49, $59 and $79, with a limited number of $129 premium Gold Circle seats, which include exclusive access to dedicated bars and restrooms. MACC members at the 'Ohi'a Level and above qualify for advance ticket purchase benefits.
Purchase tickets at the MACC Box Office, by calling 242-SHOW (7469) or online at MauiArts.org.
