The Maui News

The Veterans Affairs Department will be holding a town hall and resource fair beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hawaii Army National Guard Kahoohanohano Armory in Puunene.

A County in Brief published Jan. 12 had the wrong date and time. The Maui News apologizes for the error.

Veterans, family members and survivors and organizations and individuals who work with veterans are invited.

The gathering is to share information and resources and to hear feedback from veterans and their families on VA health care and memorial affairs. The information veterans officials would like to disseminate includes educational opportunities, help with housing and mortgages and aid for disabled veterans, such as $50,000 for home modifications.

The armory is at 2701 Maui Veterans Highway.
