To the familiar refrain of “Pomp and Circumstance,” Kihei Charter School’s Class of 2019 enters the school courtyard to begin Friday evening’s graduation ceremony. The class of 44 students was the school’s 18th graduating class, but the first to graduate from the school’s new campus in the Maui Research & Technology Park, which opened in October. Director of High School Michael Stubbs said he was confident the students were ready to make their mark on the world. “Embrace who you are and let your natural talent lead the way,” Stubbs urged in his address.
