Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of June 13 to July 18. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Kholby Akuna, 20, Wailuku; DUI, no insurance, driving without a license; 10-day jail term, $1,500 fine, $437 in fees.

Anthony Gilsog, 26, Kihei; DUI; five-day jail term, $500 fine, plus fees.

Jason Mendoza, 37, Wailuku; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees, 75 hours of community service.

Jeremy Tackett, 40, Wailuku; DUI; $250 fine, $437 in fees.

Jeffrey Takemoto, 58, Wailuku; DUI; $250 fine, plus fees.
