The Malama Maui Nui fundraiser included hands-on fun with a solar telescope, a marble vortex and a floating Death Star. Maui Makers board member and education and events chairman Pete Menningen said the launch system he designed uses air pressure and was set for 30 psi Saturday. He said the day was a chance to, “Just have good, plain fun. I’m very happy with the turnout.”
