The three-hour workshop, a collaboration between Maui Business Brainstormers, Ha-wai'i Technology Development Corp., Innovate Hawai'i and Maui Research & Technology Center, is tailored for Maui entrepreneurs, startups, mom and pop stores and small businesses, a news release about the workshop said.

It is set for 1 to 4 p.m. at the Maui Research & Technology Center in Kihei.

The presenters are Hase-gawa, president of Hasegawa General Store; Nobriga Kim, president of Roselani Ice Cream and Maui Soda & Ice Works; and Scott Rabe, president of Accel Event Rentals of Aiea, Oahu.

They will discuss the types of products to create, pricing, market testing, finding buyers, distribution methods and marketing planning.

This workshop is the first in a serious of four focused on helping Maui manufacturers find success, said Wayne Inouye, director of Innovate Hawai'i.
