Foundation awards scholarships to college students
The Foundation of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I, Kahekili Chapter Eha along with the Na Wahine Hui O Kamehameha, Moku O Kahekili Helu Eha has awarded $1,000 scholarships to seven college students:
• Alika K. Aipa is a 2016 graduate of Baldwin High School, a 2019 graduate of Southwestern College and is enrolled in the fall at University of California San Diego where he’ll attend the medical college specializing in interventional radiology. He is the son of Kui Aipa and Jacque McCandless of Kahului.
• Lee-Joseph K. Franco is a 2019 graduate of Kamehameha Maui High School and is enrolled this fall at Washington State University studying sports management and business. He is the son of James and Megan Franco of Makawao.
• Kaelyn K. Freitas is a 2019 graduate of King Kekaulike High School and enrolled in the fall at University of Hawaii Maui College to study nursing. She is the daughter of Kamaka and Liana Freitas of Makawao.
• Ka’iulani T.H. Kaniaupio is a 2019 graduate of Kamehameha Maui High School and is enrolled in the fall at Marist College to study political science. She is the daughter of Sam Kaniaupio and Keli Aiwohi of Wailuku.
• Krystal-Andre H. Kalima is a 2017 graduate of Maui High School and is currently enrolled at UH-Maui College to study Hawaiian Studies and Natural Sciences. She is the daughter of Kaupena Kalima of Wailuku.
• Emma L. Pilotin is a 2016 graduate of Seabury Hall and currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University studying biology with an emphasis in pre-medicine. She is the daughter of Eric and Joleen Pilotin.
• Erica L. Pilotin is a 2018 graduate of Seabury Hall and is currently enrolled at the University of Arizona studying architecture. She is the daughter of Eric and Joleen Pilotin of Makawao.
