The Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center brings holiday magic to Upcountry with its popular annual event that runs through the holiday season. Each year the gallery is transformed into a winter wonderland that’s decked out with handmade and local pieces in a variety of mediums. Hui Holidays 2019 opened Nov. 20 and continues daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to Dec. 24 at the center, located at 2841 Baldwin Ave.

Maui-based HiVE Energy Systems has installed the units at three HI-5 redemption centers on Maui to replace the facilities‘ failing lead-acid battery banks. The HiVE units were installed at the Kihei facility (shown here) in December, at the University of Hawaii Maui College facility earlier this year and at the Makawao facility in early November.
