MEO gets ADA bus on Molokai

Maui Economic Opportunity has added a new ADA wheelchair-accessible bus to its fleet on Molokai, the nonprofit announced Friday.

The bus was blessed on Thursday and will be used to service the expanded rural shuttle transporting residents to and from the east and west ends of the island into Kaunakakai town, MEO said.

During the last fiscal year, MEO provided nearly 24,000 rides on the island of Molokai.

MEO Chief Executive Officer Debbie Cabebe thanked the county Department of Transportation, the Maui County Council and Mayor Michael Victorino for funding the bus.
