To thank the community for its support and a “successful first year” at its new location, the South Maui Learning Ohana and Kihei Charter School will hold a “Maui Winter Music Festival,” concert on the lawn of the school from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The school is at 650 Lipoa Parkway in the Maui Research & Technology Park. Gates open at 5 p.m., with music at 6.

The no-alcohol family-friendly, beach mat and beach chair event is $5 at the door with children 12 and under free.

There will be food for sale. Entertainment will be by Kaina Kountry, Yung James and Tanama Calibri. Host is local comedian Chuck Thompson.
