Tickets for MACC members will go on sale today

Music icon Diana Ross will give a special Mother’s Day celebration at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on May 10 and 11. An exclusive kamaaina pre-sale for Hawaii residents begins Saturday.

Music icon Diana Ross will give a special Mother’s Day celebration at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on May 10 and 11.

Tickets for MACC members go on sale at 10 a.m. today.

Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $755.50 for the first row; $255.50; $155.50; $95.50 and $65.50 plus service fees.

Concert promoter Rick Bartalini Presents will hold an exclusive kamaaina pre-sale for Hawaii residents and military prior to the show being sold to the general public.

These kamaaina tickets will be available online only from 10 a.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. March 7. Hawaii residents and military should use code “MOM” to purchase up to eight tickets each.

For the Maui show, tickets will be online at www.mauiarts.org, as well as at the MACC Box Office and at (808) 242-7469.

General public sales begin at 10 a.m. March 7.

Ross will also be performing at 8 p.m. May 9 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena on Oahu. Tickets range from $255.50 to $45.50 plus service fees. The Oahu show tickets can be found at www.ticketmaster.com, at the venue box office and via charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.

In a news release, Ross said: “I am so excited and looking forward to sharing an evening of love and joy with your beautiful ohana to celebrate a fabulous Mother’s Day in Hawaii. Join me for this Happy Mother’s Day celebration. Let’s have some fun.”

Ross’s career spans more than 50 years. In 2016, President Barack Obama honored her with the Medal of Freedom Award, the highest award that can be bestowed upon a U.S. civilian.

Ross has had a landmark solo career and was also the lead singer of The Supremes.

Her many hits include “I’m Coming Out,” “Touch Me in the Morning” and “Upside Down.”

She has had 14 top 10 albums, 43 No. 1 songs and music sales exceeding 100 million units around the world, according to a news release.
