Maui Bus adjusts schedules, routes

The Maui News

Starting today, the county is suspending three Maui Bus commuter routes and adjusting schedules for other routes because of significant decreases in passengers caused by COVID-19.

The suspended routes are:

• Makawao-Kapalua commuter.

• Kihei-Kapalua commuter.

• Wailuku-Kapalua commuter #3.

The changes in other commuter routes are:

• Haiku-Wailea commuter will not provide service to and from Haiku or Paia. The first pickup point will be at the U-Haul facility at the former Kmart location in Kahului.

• Wailuku-Kapalua commuter #2 will have time changes in the afternoon pickup from Kapalua and will service Maalaea on both morning and afternoon runs.

The suspensions and changes will be in effect until further notice.

The adjusted commuter route schedule is available online at www.mauicounty.gov/DocumentCenter/View/121552/Maui-Bus-Commuter-Brochure-4-1-2020.

Maui Bus commuter fares are $2 per boarding. Monthly passes are available for $45.
