Flags will be flown at half-staff Monday at state offices and agencies, as well as the Hawaii National Guard, to honor state

Rep. Joseph “Joe” Bertram III, who died May 24 at age 63.

Bertram was elected to the state House in 2006 and reelected in 2008. He represented District 11, which includes Kihei, Wailea and Makena in South Maui.

A memorial service for Bertram is set for Monday.
