The Boys and Girls Club of Maui will be handing out kits with workbooks, masks and other supplies Friday for children in grades 1 to 12.
Each kit will include a grade-appropriate workbook, a child-sized cloth mask, healthy snacks, a recipe book, dental hygiene products and a fun activity to do at home.
Distribution will take place in locations around Maui from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Kits will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so families are encouraged to arrive early. To allow for contact-free distribution, sites will offer a one-way entrance and exit. Families should wear masks and write their child's grade level on a piece of paper that can be held up to the car window.
Kits will be handed out in the following sites:
• Central Maui Club, 100 Kanaloa Ave.
• Makawao Club, 931-A Makawao Ave., in the Eddie Tam lower parking lot.
• Haiku Club, 2830 Hana Highway.
• Lahaina Club, 280 Shaw St.
• South Maui, Saint Theresa's Church, 25 W. Lipoa St.
