Patao car wash is newly blessed with holy water

Father Roland Bunda of St. Anthony Church conducts a blessing for Maui Soft Car Wash and Patao Safety Check on Friday morning in Wailuku as Marine Patao assists. The business at the site of the former Hashi Auto Supply & Service Center is scheduled to open the car wash in mid September. The safety check station is set to transition from its current location on Wailuku's Lower Main Street at a later date. After more than 70 years in business, Hashi Auto Supply & Service Co. closed on June 15 with the owners selling the property to the Patao family.
