Mayor seeks public input on budget

Mayor Michael Victorino will host the next community budget meeting for fiscal year 2021-22 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday via videoconference, the county announced.

Representatives from the county departments of Environmental Management and Water Supply will be present at the meeting. Community members are welcome to provide input on their concerns and priorities as Victorino prepares his proposed budget for the next fiscal year. Written comments can also be submitted using a community budget request form at www.mauicounty.gov/139/Budget-Office.

Upcoming community budget meetings will also take place on:

• Thursday, with Housing and Human Concerns.

• Oct. 21, with Fire, Police, Corporation Counsel, Prosecuting Attorney, Emergency Management, Liquor.

• Oct. 22, with Management, Planning, Personnel.

Due to the pandemic, all meetings will be conducted online.
