Maui Job Corps honors employees

The Maui Job Corps Center recently honored three employees through its Celebrating Excellence awards program.
The awardees were selected for their impact, character, leadership and years of service.
Laurene Magee was named the Support Services Employee of the Year. She is the dental and administrative assistant in the health and wellness department. She has been at the center for three years.
Rosetina Rowa was named the Social Development Employee of the Year. She is a Job Corps alumni and was recently promoted to social development secretary. Rowa returned to the center in a staff capacity 11 years ago.
Admissions counselor James Cusick was named Outreach, Admissions/Career Transition Services Employee of the Year. He has been at the center for two years.
Job Corps is a national program that offers underserved youth a set of diverse academic opportunities and career pathways tailored to meet the needs of business and industry, according to a news release.
