Two more inmates at the Maui Community Correctional Center have tested positive for COVID-19, putting the number of active inmate cases at 14, the state Department of Public Safety said Friday.
Sixteen other inmates and 14 staff tested negative as mass testing continues amid an outbreak at the jail.
A total of 839 inmate tests have been conducted at MCCC, with 746 negative cases, 88 positive and five inconclusive, according to department data as of Friday.
Seventy-four inmates have recovered, with no hospitalizations, while 168 remain in quarantine and 15 remain in medical isolation.
One staff member has recovered; one active staff member case remains.
