Man arrested, returns to Minnesota
A 63-year-old Minnesota man volunteered to leave Maui and fly back home after he was arrested Saturday for violating travel quarantine rules, police said.
Leo Thiner didn’t have a negative pre-travel COVID-19 test from an approved facility and didn’t have approved lodging for the mandatory 10-day travel quarantine when he arrived from Denver, police said.
He was processed and released after volunteering to leave, police said.
