Hoolehua asked to conserve water

1 min read

Hoolehua Water System users are being asked to immediately reduce water usage by 25 to 50 percent after the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands discovered a significant leak in the system's 200,000-gallon water tank.

The tank will be removed from service and a temporary bypass will be installed to allow the water system to remain online until permanent repairs are made, DHHL said Monday.

Customers may experience intermittent water pressure issues while the bypass is in use.
