Kahului resident wins vaccination prize

A Maui resident was among 15 grand prize winners announced Thursday as part of the state’s ongoing COVID-19 vaccination incentive campaign.

Foy Hanta of Kahului won one round-trip ticket on Southwest Airlines. Nine others won the same prize, including Jocelyn Payumo, Joseph Flores, Joseph Russell, Kelsey Wong and Mary Anne Colin of Honolulu; Garry Pammer of Hilo; Jared Tavete of Laie; Kira Miyatake of Kailua; and Molly Wilt of Waialua.

Jason Ordenstein of Honolulu also won 100,000 HawaiianMiles, while Jessica Dang of Honolulu won a Vacations Hawaii Las Vegas package for two.

The remaining 53 people selected for grand prizes will be announced throughout the week as winners are verified, according to a news release. More than 260,000 people have registered to date.

New prizes will be listed at HIGotVaccinated.com by Monday. Moving the launch of Round Two will allow for the current round of contestants to be verified and awarded their prizes, the news release said.

Those who registered in June will be automatically entered to win in July.
