Daneford "Dane" Wright has been named the new assistant director of transportation at Maui Economic Opportunity.
He replaces Patty Copperfield, who was promoted to director of transportation.
Wright joined the nonprofit's Business Development Center in October and became an official employee in May. He worked with farmers on the County of Maui-funded micro-agriculture grant program administered by the Business Development Center. Prior to joining MEO, Wright was a district supervisor for the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation.
