The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold two virtual public meetings on proposed flood control repairs to the Wailuku River.
The meetings will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday via Cisco WebEx at usace1.webex .com/meet/jessie.k.paahana. Officials will present on the project, take public comments and answer questions. All comments will be considered in the preparation of the environmental assessment and will become part of the administrative record.
Participants can also call in toll free at (844) 800-2712 and enter access code 199 533 9315. Those joining by phone will only be able to listen in.
The meetings coincide with the recent release of the draft environmental assessment and draft engineering documentation report for the project, which aims to address a severe erosion design deficiency in the existing system.
