About 500 rally against vaccine and mask mandates at the state building in Wailuku on Monday. Titled “Call to Freedom,” the protest drew parents, county and state employees, including first responders, and others who are voicing their opposition to recent state and county mandates that require government employees, along with state Department of Education student athletes who want to play in DOE games, to be vaccinated.
