A Maui Police Department employee working in the Hana District has tested positive for COVID-19, according to police.

The department received confirmation of the positive test Wednesday, police said. The employee, who last worked Sunday, was isolating at home.

Common areas of the police station were disinfected and sanitized Wednesday.

The employee will remain in isolation until cleared by the Department of Health.
