Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 143 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 98 cases on Oahu, 21 cases on Maui, 13 cases on Hawaii island, eight cases on Kauai and three residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 88,655 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 60,104 on Oahu, 11,823 in Hawaii County, 10,513 in Maui County (10,124 on Maui, 244 on Molokai and 145 on Lanai) and 3,236 on Kauai. A total of 2,979 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• One new death was reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now 1,040.

• Honolulu County is averaging 57 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 1.5 percent, followed by Maui County at 13 cases and 1.3 percent, Kauai County at 12 cases and 2.4 percent and Hawaii County at 11 cases and 1.8 percent.

• Hawaii has reached a 72.4 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 75 percent, Kauai County at 70 percent, Maui County at 65 percent and Hawaii County at 64 percent.
