A boil water advisory has been lifted for residents along a section of Kula Highway from Lepelepe Place to Malamahale Place, Lepelepe Place, Malia Uli Place and Malamahale Place, the county Department of Water Supply announced Tuesday.

The advisory remains in effect for residents of Waipoli Road, Naalae Road, Kawehi Place and Lower Kula Road between Naalae and Waipoli roads.

The department is continuing to flush Upper Kula waterlines to try to rid the system of trace amounts of E. coli bacteria found in the pipes following a major storm last month.
