Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 2,929 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 1,999 cases on Oahu, 496 cases on Maui, 208 on Hawaii island, 180 on Kauai, 21 on Molokai, seven on Lanai and 18 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 150,028 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 106,573 on Oahu, 17,493 in Maui County (16,664 on Maui, 558 on Molokai and 271 on Lanai) and 5,627 on Kauai. A total of 4,028 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• No new deaths were reported Tuesday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,105.
• Honolulu County is averaging 2,622 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 21.2 percent, followed by Maui County at 524 cases and 21.6 percent, Hawaii County at 319 cases and 19.6 percent and Kauai County at 184 cases and 16.9 percent.
• Hawaii has reached a 74.9 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 72 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, 26 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, including 15 unvaccinated and 11 vaccinated. One vaccinated patient and one unvaccinated patient were in the ICU, with one vaccinated patient on a ventilator.
