Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 3,512 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 2,612 cases on Oahu, 373 cases on Maui, 290 on Hawaii island, 158 on Kauai, 19 on Molokai, eight on Lanai and 52 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 153,540 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 109,185 on Oahu, 17,893 in Maui County (17,037 on Maui, 577 on Molokai and 279 on Lanai) and 5,785 on Kauai. A total of 4,080 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• Five new deaths were reported Wednesday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,110.

• Honolulu County is averaging 2,662 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 21.6 percent, followed by Maui County at 530 cases and 22.4 percent, Hawaii County at 324 cases and 20.3 percent and Kauai County at 191 cases and 17.6 percent.

• Hawaii has reached a 75 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 72 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.

• As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, 27 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, including 15 unvaccinated and 12 vaccinated. One vaccinated patient and one unvaccinated patient were in the ICU, with one vaccinated patient on a ventilator.
