COVID-19 at a Glance

Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 3,392 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 2,443 cases on Oahu, 522 cases on Maui, 201 on Kauai, 162 on Hawaii island, 16 on Molokai, seven on Lanai and 41 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 156,932 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 111,628 on Oahu, 18,438 in Maui County (17,559 on Maui, 593 on Molokai and 286 on Lanai), 16,759 in Hawaii County and 5,986 on Kauai. A total of 4,121 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• Four new deaths were reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,114.

• Honolulu County is averaging 2,559 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 21.2 percent, followed by Maui County at 496 cases and 22.5 percent, Hawaii County at 274 cases and 19 percent and Kauai County at 189 cases and 17.4 percent.

• Hawaii has reached a 75.1 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 72 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.

• As of 9 a.m. Thursday, 28 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 at Maui Memorial Medical Center, including 13 unvaccinated and 15 vaccinated. One vaccinated patient and one unvaccinated patient were in the ICU, with one vaccinated patient on a ventilator.
