Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 1,904 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 1,445 cases on Oahu, 170 on Maui, 142 on Hawaii island, 90 on Kauai, six on Lanai, two on Molokai and 49 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 206,837 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 145,765 on Oahu, 25,627 in Maui County (24,317 on Maui, 831 on Molokai and 479 on Lanai), 21,863 in Hawaii County and 8,809 on Kauai. A total of 4,773 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• No new deaths were reported Tuesday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,146.
• Hawaii has reached a 74.5 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 70 percent, Maui County at 67 percent and Hawaii County at 66 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, there were 39 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 16 unvaccinated and 23 vaccinated, including nine who received their booster shots. There were seven in the ICU -- five unvaccinated and two vaccinated, with one who received a booster shot. Two patients were on ventilators and were both unvaccinated.
