Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 2,380 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 1,424 cases on Oahu, 375 on Hawaii island, 337 on Maui, 161 on Kauai, 16 on Lanai, seven on Molokai and 60 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 211,267 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 148,630 on Oahu, 26,318 in Maui County (24,971 on Maui, 843 on Molokai and 504 on Lanai), 22,388 in Hawaii County and 9,069 on Kauai. A total of 4,862 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Ten new deaths were reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,159.
• Hawaii has reached a 74.6 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 70 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 66 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Thursday, there were a record-high 51 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 27 unvaccinated and 24 vaccinated, including nine who received their booster shots. There were 13 in the ICU -- nine unvaccinated and four vaccinated, with two who received a booster shot. Four patients were on ventilators, three who are unvaccinated and one patient whose vaccination status is unknown.
