Liquor department to require appointments

In-person customer service at the Department of Liquor Control will be available by appointment only starting Monday through Feb. 28 due to surging COVID-19 cases, the county announced Friday.

No walk-in or standby customers will be serviced at the department's offices in the Maui County Service Center in Kahului.

Appointments can be made by emailing liquor@maui

county.gov and will be scheduled in the order they are received, the county said. Those without internet access may request an appointment by calling the department at (808) 243-7753.
