Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 1,068 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 727 cases on Oahu, 153 on Maui, 140 on Hawaii island, 28 on Kauai, five on Lanai, one on Molokai and 14 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 220,356 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 154,279 on Oahu, 27,567 in Maui County (26,157 on Maui, 863 on Molokai and 547 on Lanai), 23,606 in Hawaii County and 9,851 on Kauai. A total of 5,053 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• No new deaths were reported Tuesday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,181.

• Hawaii has reached a 74.9 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 66 percent.

• As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, there were 48 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 27 unvaccinated and 21 vaccinated, including five who received their booster shots. There were five in the ICU, four unvaccinated and one vaccinated. No patients were on ventilators.
