Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Monday reported 833 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 488 cases on Oahu, 125 on Hawaii island, 94 on Kauai, 92 on Maui, seven on Lanai, four on Molokai, and 23 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 227,284 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 158,481 on Oahu, 28,429 in Maui County (26,958 on Maui, 891 on Molokai and 580 on Lanai), 24,543 in Hawaii County and 10,530 on Kauai. A total of 5,301 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• No new deaths were reported Monday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,226.
• Hawaii has reached a 75.2 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Monday, there were 27 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 14 unvaccinated and 13 vaccinated, including three who received their booster shots. There was one unvaccinated patient in the ICU. There were no patients on a ventilator.
