Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 533 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 357 cases on Oahu, 72 on Hawaii island, 52 on Maui, 38 on Kauai, two on Lanai, and 12 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 227,817 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 158,838 on Oahu, 28,483 in Maui County (27,010 on Maui, 891 on Molokai and 582 on Lanai), 24,615 in Hawaii County and 10,568 on Kauai. A total of 5,313 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• No new deaths were reported Tuesday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,226.

• Hawaii has reached a 75.2 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.

• As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, there were 25 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 12 unvaccinated and 13 vaccinated, including two who received their booster shots. There was one unvaccinated patient in the ICU. There was one unvaccinated patient on a ventilator.

• Gov. David Ige announced Tuesday that booster shot requirements will not be added to the Safe Travels Hawaii requirements, citing declining COVID-19 cases in the state, the continental U.S., and Europe.
