Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 1,195 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 815 cases on Oahu, 131 on Hawaii island, 108 on Kauai, 101 on Maui, nine on Lanai, and 31 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 229,531 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 159,976 on Oahu, 28,653 in Maui County (27,164 on Maui, 895 on Molokai and 594 on Lanai), 24,800 in Hawaii County and 10,709 on Kauai. A total of 5,393 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Six new deaths were reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,239.
• Hawaii has reached a 75.3 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 78 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Thursday, there were 25 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center - 14 unvaccinated and 11 vaccinated, including one who received a booster shot. There were two unvaccinated patients in the ICU. There was one unvaccinated patient on a ventilator.
