Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Friday reported 707 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 414 cases on Oahu, 148 on Hawaii island, 62 Maui, 55 on Kauai, 14 on Molokai, two on Lanai, and 12 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 230,238 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 160,390 on Oahu, 28,731 in Maui County (27,226 on Maui, 909 on Molokai and 596 on Lanai), 24,948 in Hawaii County and 10,764 on Kauai. A total of 5,405 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Eight new deaths were reported Friday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,247.
• Hawaii has reached a 75.3 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 79 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 68 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Friday, there were 23 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- 12 unvaccinated and 11 vaccinated, including one who received a booster shot. There were two unvaccinated patients in the ICU. There was one unvaccinated patient on a ventilator.
