Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Monday reported 498 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 228 cases on Oahu, 101 on Kauai, 86 on Hawaii island, 63 on Maui, three on Lanai, two on Molokai and 15 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 232,008 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 161,243 on Oahu, 28,971 in Maui County (27,443 on Maui, 921 on Molokai and 607 on Lanai), 25,184 in Hawaii County and 11,112 on Kauai. A total of 5,498 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• No new deaths were reported Monday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,262.

• Hawaii has reached a 75.5 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 79 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 69 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.

• As of 9 a.m. Monday, there were 19 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- eight unvaccinated and 11 vaccinated, including two who received a booster shot. There was one vaccinated patient in the ICU. There were no patients on a ventilator.
