Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 650 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 353 cases on Oahu, 92 on Maui, 91 on Hawaii island, 65 on Kauai, six on Molokai, three on Lanai and 40 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 233,155 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 161,942 on Oahu, 29,142 in Maui County (27,603 on Maui, 927 on Molokai and 612 on Lanai), 25,328 in Hawaii County and 11,190 on Kauai. A total of 5,553 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Sixteen new deaths were reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,290.
• Hawaii has reached a 75.6 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 79 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 69 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Thursday, there were 11 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- six unvaccinated and five vaccinated, including one who received a booster shot. There were no patients in the ICU and none on a ventilator.
