Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Friday reported 485 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 260 cases on Oahu, 120 on Hawaii island, 60 on Maui, 29 on Kauai, one each on Molokai and Lanai and 14 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 233,640 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 162,202 on Oahu, 29,204 in Maui County (27,663 on Maui, 928 on Molokai and 613 on Lanai), 25,448 in Hawaii County and 11,219 on Kauai. A total of 5,567 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Two new deaths were reported Friday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,292.
• Hawaii has reached a 75.7 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 79 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 69 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Friday, there were 11 people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Maui Memorial Medical Center -- six unvaccinated and five vaccinated, including one who received a booster shot. There were no patients in the ICU and none on a ventilator.
• Mayor Michael Victorino announced that starting Monday, proof of vaccination or a negative test will not be required for indoor service at restaurants, bars and gyms.
