Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Friday reported 311 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 195 cases on Oahu, 41 on Hawaii island, 38 on Maui, 20 on Kauai and 17 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 235,435 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 163,306 on Oahu, 29,393 in Maui County (27,839 on Maui, 934 on Molokai and 620 on Lanai), 25,716 in Hawaii County and 11,356 on Kauai. A total of 5,664 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Nine new deaths were reported Friday; the statewide fatality count is now at 1,321.
• Hawaii has reached a 76.4 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 80 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent, Maui County at 69 percent and Hawaii County at 67 percent.
• As of 9 a.m. Friday, there were 12 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 at Maui Memorial Medical Center - five unvaccinated and seven vaccinated, with one who received a booster shot. There were two patients in the ICU, one vaccinated and another unvaccinated. There were no patients on a ventilator.
• Mayor Michael Victorino announced Friday that all county public health emergency rules will be repealed as of Tuesday with cases on the decline.
