To kick off American Heart Month this month, nearly 20 Maui Economic Opportunity staff and Youth Services participants took a brisk walk around the J. Walter Cameron Center on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
In addition to the walk, there was a guided meditation via Zoom and blood pressure checks.
Youth Services participants are part of an afterschool prevention program that tackles the issues of bullying, underage drinking, substance abuse and suicide for youths ages 11 to 18.
The program accepts participants throughout the year. To apply, call (808) 243-4309 or visit www.meoinc.org.
