Public library branches will reopen on Wednesdays starting today, the Hawaii State Public Library System announced.
The Wednesday closures were instituted on Aug. 18 due to the high infection rates of the delta variant.
All library users may browse for materials, use public internet computers for up to two 60-minute sessions per day, access free Wi-Fi, pick up holds, use printers and copiers and request reference and research assistance.
Library patrons and visitors ages 12 and older must:
• Present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test issued within the last 72 hours.
• Wear a mask while indoors.
• Practice physical distancing.
• Follow basic guidelines for being safe -- staying at home if sick, washing hands and using hand sanitizer.
Digital materials can still be accessed with a library card at librarieshawaii.org.
