Artist Cory Kamehanaokala Holt Taum works on a mural showing the journey of oopu on the side of an office building on Main Street in Wailuku on Wednesday. The mural is part of the Small Town * Big Art program. The mural was blessed Friday afternoon by Uncle William "Bill" Garcia of the Hale Ho'ike'ike at the Bailey House Museum/ Maui Historical Society ohana. As part of an artistic collaboration with Adaptations Dance Theater, the mural unveiling helps to commemorate three years of collaborative storytelling programming amongst a group of extraordinary individuals, according to an email about the blessing.
