Hawaii to honor lives lost to COVID-19
The State of Hawaii and U.S. flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Monday in remembrance of the 1 million American lives lost to COVID-19, the Governor’s Office announced Thursday.
The order from Acting Gov. Josh Green applies to the Hawaii State Capitol and all state offices and agencies as well as the Hawaii National Guard, according to a news release.
Gov. David Ige is in Japan on state business, and Green is serving as acting governor until Ige’s return today.
