DUI Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of June 13 to 24. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Lahaina Circuit Court:

Michael Mason, 47, Kula; DUI (highly intoxicated); two-day jail term, $250 fine, plus fees, 18-month driver’s license revocation.

Ricardo Perez Palomo, 20, Lahaina; DUI (highly intoxicated), lack of due care; two-day jail term, $350 in fines, plus fees, 18-month driver’s license revocation.

Lanai Circuit Court:

Spencer Kim, age unavailable, Honolulu; DUI; $1,000 fine, plus fees.

Wailuku District Court:

Edwin Clayton, 35, Wailuku; DUI (highly intoxicated), excessive speeding; two-day jail term, $1,000 in fines, plus fees, 18-month driver’s license revocation.

Ryan Curry, 43, Haiku; DUI (highly intoxicated), driving without a license; two-day jail term, $350 in fines, plus fees, two-year driver’s license revocation.

Eugene Principato, 75, Wailuku; DUI; $500 fine,plus fees.

Jonathan Schultz, 42, Makawao; DUI; $250 fine, plus fees.
