The deadline to apply for a vacancy for 2nd Circuit Court judge has been extended to Sept. 6.
The Judicial Selection Commission last week announced the extension of the deadline for a second time to fill the position left vacant by the retirement in December of 2nd Circuit Chief Judge Richard Bissen.
Nominees must be U.S. citizens and Hawaii residents who have been licensed to practice law in the state for at least 10 years. The annual salary is $207,084 for the 10-year term.

Applications should be mailed to Commission Chairwoman Nadine Ando, Judicial Selection Commission, 417 S. King St., Honolulu 96813 and must be postmarked on or before Sept. 6.
